Day 9. Elma to Centralia, WA

We made today a short day getting on the road about 8:45 and finishing a little after 2 in Ccntralia.  A cool dewey morning into a very warm and sunny day.

Angela and I were the first ones up this morning but the last to leave. 🙁

Leanne and Katherine enjoying breakfast.

And our European buddies Domien and Dietmar finishing their muesli and coffee.

No big hills today, just a steady climb through a broad valley dissected by the Chehalis River that we were following to the south.

We stopped about 11 for a late breakfast in Oakdale, only having had coffee before we left Elma this morning.  Our plan today was to do about 75 miles again and get to a place called Castle Rock, about 5 miles away from the Mt. Saint Helens visitor center, and take a down day to go see it. But, we weren't really feeling "it" this morning.  In addition we had really slow service at breakfast so we burned 90 minutes of the day up there.  So we thought what the heck, we'll skip our down day for now and see Mt. Saint Helens tomorrow as we ride south.  Day by day is how we roll.
