Enjoying Brighton Beach, British Columbia

We spent Monday September 4th at Tom and Tracey's cabin in a small community of about 20 houses called Brighton Beach on an inlet called Indian Arm about 10 miles northwest of Vancouver. The only way to get to their place is by boat. This is them on their "other car", a 17' boat, before we left the marina.

Tom is giving us a tour of the inlet as we cruise up towards their place.

A view to the southwest towards Barnaby from the community dock at Brighton Beach.

The view from their cabin.

On a hike on another very warm day.

Two old GE buddies hanging around in the woods.

An afternoon card game of Crown Five with Tom, followed by neighbor Connie, Tracey, neighbor Elizabeth and lastly Angela.  Some how these card sharks managed to make both Angela and I the biggest losers in the two games we played.  Hmmmm.

Fresh caught Dungeness crabs from the dock.  Lucky for the crabs we already had a wonderfully prepared dinner by Tracey and Tom of barbecued chicken and locally grown greens, vegetables and potatoes. Yum!

  1. Thanks for the link Angela. I'm looking forward to following along. How will you get back to your car? Train?
