Day 2-Mljet to Korkula Sep 21

We started the day with instruction on our e-bikes and a good climb to start to get a feel for the bikes.

Riding about 10 miles along the “Big Lake” brings us to the opening to the Adriatic.  It turns out Big and Little Lake or actually brackish from the sea.

After our ride we returned to Mljet but not before a tasty and cooling beer!

We had a swim break and time to sun and nap after lunch on the top deck.  Very relaxing after 19 miles on the bike.  I tried to be stoic and only used 5% of my bikes charge.

Korkula was a great city to visit, nicer and less touristy than Dubrovnik.

We found an excellent harbor side restaurant and had a wonderful time.

Hard to avoid the sunset at Sunset Point.

And we saved room for Gelato before returning to the boat for cards and relaxation with our fellow guests.

Boat Day-Dubrovnik Sep 20

Angela checks into our “luxury” cabin on the Mali Luka.

Steve and Sandy enjoying our orientation and lunch. My key takeaway from the orientation is that NOTHING should go down the toilet, NOTHING!!

Ang and I with our Titanic moment as we make our way southwesterly to our first night on the boat.

We set sail at 1pm and by 2:30 we stopped for our first swim.

By 3:30 we were motoring again.

Angela glows gleefully from the lovely day and perhaps her recently finished Gin & Tonic.

Motoring slowly towards the NW to our port for the night, Mljet.

Our Captain was the 3rd out of 4 to tie up side by side at the tiny dock Mljet. He and the crew worked like magic and seemingly without effort to get us tied up within a few minutes.

And here are the fenders that keep the boats safe from damage and the tiny gangplank that allows the passengers of the four boats to get to the dock.

The four of us idle by the dock as the sun sets before the entire contingent of passengers have dinner at tbe Restaurant Melody.

Dubrovnik Sep 19th

We located the docking location of our Sail Croatia in the harbor Friday morning.

Sandy and Steve joined us from their home in Florida for our Boat/Bike tour. Old  Dubrovnik hands, now we took them on a tour of Old Town where we bought t-shirts, hats, beach towels, food, beer and wine!

After an American style dinner and drinks at Hard Rock Cafe we toured more of Old Town before wondering our way home with one more stop at a castle last like bar over the Adriatic for one last night cap before turning in.  Tomorrow we sail!
