38 years ago in West Lafayette, IN, my senior year at Purdue, Angela and I were married in front of our families and a lot of drunk college friends. Angela had just turned 21 a few days earlier and I was 23. The next day we were off to my summer intern job at Illinois Power in Champaign, IL and Angela to her job as a graduate nurse. Today, we left our home in Niwot on a 3 day road trip to Ft. Bragg, CA to begin our cycle tour of the 500 unridden miles along the Central Coast of California from our 2017 Vancouver to Tijuana tour. Tonight we celebrated our wonderful life together with a steak dinner in Salt Lake City. Tomorrow we’ll spend the night in Reno, NV. Maybe we should renew our vows there?
